CHEF KEITH SNOW TO BE FEATURED ON ALASKA CRUISE MAY 15-22
January 23, 2010
I wanted to let you all know that I will be aboard the Holland America Line’s ship ms Rotterdam in May from the 15-22 cruising from Seattle WA to Alaska. The cruise visits the fabulous inner passage in Alaska where glaciers, small fishing towns and amazing wildlife are abundant. I will be doing several cooking demonstrations in the ship’s culinary showcase which is presented by Food & Wine magazine. Obviously, I am very excited by this opportunity as I’ve never been on a cruise, or to Alaska.
The staff and owners of The Woodinville Wine Cellars of Woodinville WA will also be aboard the boat and I will be working with winemaker Sean Boyd to pair wines with the dishes I prepare. Woodinville Winery produces several hand-crafted wines that have won many awards. I will also get a chance to meet many fellow Lacanche range owners as staff of Frenchranges.com will be aboard too. I have not decided what I will demonstrate or prepare but I will most likely feature some fresh west coast seafood and local spring vegetables.
I will also be signing copies of the Harvest Eating Cookbook so if you have a copy of the book and want to come on a cruise, I’d be delighted to meet you and sign your book! Here are the official details of the 7-day Alaskan Explorer cruise where you can learn more and make reservations before it sells out.
I hope to see some of you on board the ship!
Keith
LOCAL BRAGGING RIGHTS
December 22, 2009
Chef Keith Snow likes to let his guests feel part of nature. So he takes clean branches from his oak trees and red, yellow and rust-colored leaves and places them at the center of his table. He clusters bunches of locally bought apples and winter squash like butternut or acorn across the surface.
A diner at Snow’s table might include a jar of butternut squash soup or spiced applesauce nestled next to their place setting. Small menu cards in scripted font spell out the courses of the meal, including information about the farms that supplied the food and the recipes used to make it.

Chef snow was recently featured on WPIX (CW Network) morning news in New York City to promote the new Harvest Eating Cookbook and to show off recipes for fall produce. Chef Snow shared 5 recipes from the book with the on-air talent from WPIX.
The goal was to get a non-vegetable eater to try and possibly like some of Chef Snows’ vegetable creations, see the mixed results here. This is a link to the WPIX blog page featuring Harvest Eating and Chef Keith Snow.

HARVEST EATING COOKBOOK & GIADA DELAURENTIS’S BOOK FEATURED IN SAVOR SA
September 1, 2010
Two recent cookbooks demonstrate a trend that’s becoming more popular with those who have little time to cook, yet still want to put something fresh and delicious on the dinner table. They are “The Harvest Eating Cookbook” (Running Press, $29.95) by chef Keith Snow and Giada at Home (Clarkson Potter, $35) by Food Network celebrity Giada De Laurentiis.
What they have in common is that they are both tie-ins to TV shows and feature plenty of pretty pictures of food. Yet neither has little writing in them to rob you of an extra second to spare. Read the rest of the article here…
