Spiced Wild Caught Shrimp w Chipotle Horseradish Cocktail Sauce
Here is a terrific Recipe For Spiced Shrimp. So simple so delicious.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 quarts purified water
- 1 lb wild caught American shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 inch piece of ginger
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- juice and rind from one lemon
- 2 bay leaves
- 4-5 black peppercorns
- 2 tbs Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
FOR SAUCE:
- 1 cup organic ketchup
- 1 tbs prepared horseradish sauce
- juice of half lemon
- 1/2 tsp chipotle pepper in adobo, minced up to paste
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
Method:
- In a large pot add 1. quart of purified water and all ingredients up to pepper flakes, bring to rolling simmer.
- Prepare a large bowl of ice, add water.
- Once water is simmering, add shrimp, cook for 2 minutes, then immediately dump in ice batch to cool off.
- For the sauce, mix all ingredients together, chill.
- Serve shrimp over crushed ice and garnish with lemons and bay leaves. Serve sauce on the side.
