Spiced Wild Caught Shrimp w Chipotle Horseradish Cocktail Sauce

Here is a terrific Recipe For Spiced Shrimp. So simple so delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 quarts purified water
  • 1 lb wild caught American shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 inch piece of ginger
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • juice and rind from one lemon
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4-5 black peppercorns
  • 2 tbs Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

FOR SAUCE:

  • 1 cup organic ketchup
  • 1 tbs prepared horseradish sauce
  • juice of half lemon
  • 1/2 tsp chipotle pepper in adobo, minced up to paste
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt

 

Method:

  1. In a large pot add 1. quart of purified water and all ingredients up to pepper flakes, bring to rolling simmer.
  2. Prepare a large bowl of ice, add water.
  3. Once water is simmering, add shrimp, cook for 2 minutes, then immediately dump in ice batch to cool off.
  4. For the sauce, mix all ingredients together, chill.
  5. Serve shrimp over crushed ice and garnish with lemons and bay leaves. Serve sauce on the side.
