This is a simple recipe that uses abundant fresh tomatoes and peaches. Perfect on a warm August or early September evening. This jam makes cornmeal crusted fried green tomatoes absolutely glow with happiness!…
[private]Sorry for the shaky camera..my wife had too much coffee!
We have made all our own baby food for our kids, this time around Baby Garrett who is now 6 months is starting on solid food. We make all types: apples, bananas, peaches, peas, rice cereal, squash, avocado etc.. It’s very easy and this way we can get local organic foods (when available) into the little man.
This video just gives a few pointers.
This topic is a great example of why I created Harvest Eating. Showing people how in a few easy steps, foods, especially baby foods, can be made from scratch with simple tools and quality ingredients. I know people are busy…yet this takes only minutes and we feel very confident that the little effort it requires will pay dividends in your child’s health.
So, to put it bluntly, get off your butt and make some food from scratch! 🙂
