Used in a salad with other healthy ingredients it makes a nice meal for anybody looking to eat healthier options.
Quinoa is grown in Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and Columbia at altitudes up to 4,000 meters above sea level and does not need very fertile soil. The crop does not do well in very moist of hot conditions…anything over 90 degrees for an extended period can destroy the crops. Quinoa is being grown in the USA and CA and it’s future is bright. Prices have gone up 3-4 fold in the last decade.
